Dolmen is the prehistoric tomb that grave room to bury a corpse is made on or under the ground and then a large stone is put on it. Dolmen (Goindol) means the stone exposed to the ground, usually consisting of two or more upright stones upright a large flat horizontal capstone(table). Dolmen was also called Dokbaegi, Bawoobaegi or Dokbawoo among people because natural stones were buried in the earth and go-table type dolmens were called Ship Rock, Turtle Rock, Toad Rock, Frog Rock, etc. depending on the shapes of capstone.
